Due Up: Venus, Saturn, Chiron ~ 14 April 2017

Tomorrow Venus goes direct at 26 Pisces 54, less than a half degree away from Chiron at 26 Pisces 31. Both square Saturn’s position on the Galactic Center at 27 Sag 43. It’s like these planets are due up and dealing with the fleet-footed Mercury, recently retrograde, who dances around his position on base as if he’s contemplating a steal of the next base.

Truly, it’s a compelling situation. Venus, the most unlikely planet to be retrograde, turns from her temporary position in that role, to resuming her more standard prograde motion. A heap of needs and wants likely are subject to revision, re-prioritization and reaction, coincident with her redirection.

During Venus retrograde, if a particular path was pursued and the results did not feel, smell, taste as expected, it’s okay to shift course. If true to Venus in Pisces fantastical aspirations went out to the Universal ethers and the initial results seemed off, it’s okay to adjust. If a person was not careful what she/he wished for, and the manifestations standing on the path make that impeccably clear, alteration of the wish makes sense.

Ironically, it is taxes-due weekend here in the USA. Because of Easter, the deadline has extended a few days. Another interesting economic note, today is the end of negotiations between the Hollywood writers and the film and TV entities for a new contract. If things do not finalize, a strike vote begins next Monday. Interesting economic negotiation elements to align with the approximate time of Venus’ station. No doubt many layers of the collective economic onion stand to be peeled back in the next days, and on a heap of financial fronts.

Classically, Saturn bears the bad rap of being the guy that denies outcomes. Actually, Saturn rewards hard work, discipline, focus and commitment to cause. Simply, if you put it out there with the greatest of expectations and followed the wishing/dreaming/goal work with demonstrate-able effort, Saturn likely rewards what the subconscious believes one should receive.

Ah, so that’s the caveat. The dang subconscious.

Yes, Venus is in Pisces where emotional/reaction factors freely filter through the psyche. So is Chiron, the wounded healer, son of Saturn. It’s a wonder Chiron turned out as spectacularly as he did. Even though he incarnated with some prestige on Mount Olympus, his father denied his role in Chiron’s birth. His mother shunned him. Chiron turned to the wise ones for mentoring, and within that mentoring excelled in every study/life skill pursued. Sure, maybe it was compensation for an inadequacy; still the end result was fantastic.

Saturn does tend to root in “that’s the way it’s always been,” “things never change,” or as C3PO in the original Star Wars lamented, “it’s our lot in life to suffer.”

Chiron in Pisces stomps both his front hooves at that. He crisply claps his hands and says, “Hey, that’s the damn history file. Do you damn yourself to repeat history? Why?”

Saturn, surprised by the incisive interrogation from his offspring, folds his arms, drops his chin, holds his breath. Fighting sensations of shame, he digs in, going for emotional stone wall.

Chiron winks at Venus, who seems busy dreaming up new images and personas to don, and then delivers the defeating blow to the resistance to good stuff in the air. He says, “Dude... dad, you’re aligned with the Galactic Center... one of the purest sources of progressive inspiration in our local galaxy. If you can’t come up with alternatives seeking a better way... a better life... well, I might have to call in Jupiter and Eris to spin your world weirdly.”

That’s the nutshell of this planetary half inning.

It doesn’t matter what your life history declares as carved in stone.

Your fate is not in the hands of your mother’s maternal skills - or lack thereof.

Your fate is not in the hands of your father’s incomprehensible coldness or sternness.

Your fate is not determined by the caustic admonitions of a teacher, coach, nun or other proctor.

Your fate is not contingent upon your emotional archives.

Grab the bat, set your intention and visualize what you are going to do when life’s unpredictable pitch comes your way.

Trust your intrinsic skill. (creativity and spiritual clarity to be deemed part of this tool kit).

Trust your training.

Trust your discipline.

Trust your karma.

Now go up there, get in the box and stop thinking about what you’re going to do; do it. Stop fretting about the possible outcomes, good or bad; take your best rip.

Does it matter if your eyes are closed? In theory, no. Not as long as your consciousness is fully present. After all, Luke’s early training with the Jedi light saber took place with his eyes covered.

Consciousness involvement neatly address one of Saturn’s classic contingencies: Being at the right place at exactly the right time and doing the exactly right thing.

Yeah, Chiron and Venus are in Pisces. They default to trust, faith and belief. They’re appealing to Saturn to overcome history, legend and metric forecasting. They’re looking for Saturn’s alignment with the Galactic Center to be simply brilliant and for timely execution of the latest amazing insight downloaded.
